Create a booking

Create a booking from scratch

Written by Team Ops

A booking represents your client's trip. It holds the client details and one or more alternatives (the quote variants you'll collect money against).

Create a booking manually

  1. On the Bookings page, click "New booking."

  2. Step 1 - Booking details:

    • Booking name - e.g. Italy Trip 2026

    • Reference - your internal reference, or let Ezus Pay generate it automatically (Reference (auto-generated)). You can adjust the format via Edit format.

    • Client name and Client email (optional)

    • Currency - the currency your client will pay in

    • Exchange rate - only appears if the currency differs from your agency's default. It's used only for aggregated display in your default currency; the traveler always pays in the booking currency, and Stripe handles the real conversion at payment time.

  3. Click "Next."

  4. Step 2 - First alternative (optional): you can already add a name, total amount, travel dates and traveler count - or click "Skip this step."

  5. Click "Create booking."

A "Booking created successfully" confirmation appears.

Auto-generated references

You control the format under Settings → General → Automatic booking reference numbering: Prefix, Separator, Include year and Number length. A live Preview shows the result (e.g. BKG-2026-001).
